Medical 20.1 inches Monochrome SXGA LCD Panel achieves
the first 1786 gray scale resolution in the world with the highest performance
and super gray shading technology.

Spectratech, Inc. (President Mitsuo Ohashi) has established the technology which makes 1786 gray scale resolution display
possible with the world highest performance, which had been considered to be impossible for monochrome LCD panel.
This technology contributes to medical field IT in which they try to digitize, store,
and diagnose X-ray films.
By development of new algorithm, the company has succeeded in higher resolution of SXGA 20.1 inches monochrome LCD panel this time than the one released in November '01.
The 20.1 inches monochrome SXGA (1280 pixels x 1024 lines) LCD panel developed this time is
based on unique digital processing SGS method (Super Gray Shading Technology).
It performs 1786 gray scale resolution, contrast ratio 700:1, and luminance 600 cd/m2 or more.
Under the technology of 1786 gray scale resolution SGS LCD panel, Data Ray (U.S.A.) will release medical LCD monitor
(Precision 1M) coming April.
This technology can be also used for higher resolution of high pixel LCD panels (3M, 5M, 9M, etc.).
In addition to medical purpose, it can easily shift from non-destroying X-ray inspecting equipment display,
and electronic microscope display.
With expert members including medical researchers, semiconductor engineers, graphics engineers and so on,
Spectratech Inc is a venture business who has the high technology, holds patents concerning medical equipments using frequency diffusion technology,
which make the company development, fabless manufacturing, and sale of the medical equipments.
The equipment will be exhibited in the ITEM2000 (The International Technical Exhibition of Medical Imaging)
to be held effective April 4, '02 in Kobe.
